From Gigi's Heart to Yours
My name is Terri Barker — but most people know me as Mom, or Gigi. My husband and I have 3 biological children and have adopted 4. Our adoption journey began 19 years ago when we adopted our son from Guatemala. We later adopted our youngest son domestically through a private local agency. And then came two siblings who were in the foster care system right here in our hometown.
Each one of those children changed our world in the most amazing way. And as we've grown older, my husband and I have found ourselves asking the same question: how do we keep making a difference — even beyond our own home?

I've had the privilege of working alongside my dear friend "Ninny" for years — as well as her mother, Mamie, who passed away in 2021. Mamie and I were kindred spirits when it came to children. We talked constantly about what more we could do. Gigi & Ninny Co is, in part, a continuation of that conversation — and a tribute to her.
Why Foster Care & Adoption?
Because we know firsthand what it means. We know the paperwork, the waiting, the uncertainty — and we know the joy on the other side. There are children in Maine right now who need stable homes, loving families, and people willing to show up for them. If a pair of pajamas can be part of that story, that feels like exactly the right thing.

How much is donated per purchase?
$2 from every retail pair of pajamas sold. It happens automatically — no codes or opt-ins required.
Which organizations receive the donations?
Funds support foster care and adoption programs in Maine. If you have specific questions about our giving partners, feel free to reach out to us directly.
Does this apply to sale items?
Yes — $2 is set aside from every retail pair sold, including sale items. The only exception is wholesale purchases.
Does it apply to Gift Boxes?
Yes. If your Gift Box contains pajamas, the $2 donation applies per pair included.
Why foster care and adoption specifically?
Our founder Terri has adopted four children herself, including two from the Maine foster care system. This isn't a cause chosen from the outside — it's personal, lived experience. She knows what these programs mean and what a difference they make.
